About Vivica McCrary

Born and raised in Columbus, Ohio, Vivica McCrary has always been an avid reader and library bug! With Sci-Fi and New Adult Fiction being some of her favorite genres to listen to and narrate, you can guarantee she is always down for a good story. She is a musical theatre geek and capital “G” gamer that gets her thrills from well-written storylines, mind-blowing animation, and characters that you can really see yourself reflected in. When she's not gaming or in the booth, you can find her passionately delving into documentaries and video essays surrounding her Black, Indigenous, and Queer identities.

Vivica has been using her voice professionally since the age of eight. Getting her start by voicing the radio ads her father commissioned for his pest control business, you could say Vivica caught the voiceover bug! She continued learning about the craft and soon found herself falling head first in love with theatre. Spending her spare time in the dusty red chairs of her local theatre she entered the world of collaborative storytelling and character creation. From there she found a new passion behind the curtain and soon became a collegiately and professionally trained Stage Manager. Because of this training she manages and prioritizes her time well, excels in script analysis, and truly finds joy in sharing stories that captivate her audience. 

 Also as a hidden bonus, after listening to countless musicals from backstage and pouring over mountains of scores, she's a huge hit at karaoke!
